MEET THE Ranchers
We're Chris & Kylie
Miner Ranch grew out of a working relationship built around horses and trust. Kylie returned to South Dakota after the loss of her mother, carrying forward a deep respect for horses shaped by equine-facilitated learning and connection. Chris came to the ranch with more than 30 years of experience as a trainer and farrier, answering what began as a simple Facebook ad. That farrier-client relationship quickly became a business partnership—and soon after, a life together.
Together, Chris and Kylie bring complementary strengths to Miner Ranch. Chris provides the hands-on horsemanship, training, and farrier expertise, while Kylie focuses on program development, education, and purpose-driven growth. United by shared values—and a mutual appreciation for a mare named Gracie—they are building a ranch rooted in sound horses, honest work, and meaningful experiences for buyers, clients, and community alike.

We offer horses backed by proven bloodlines, intentional handling, and real-world experience. Each horse is raised with a clear purpose, whether that’s performance, partnership, or long-term potential. Transparency, honest communication, and the right fit come first.
Equine-Facilitated Learning
Our equine-facilitated learning experiences create space for reflection, growth, and connection through meaningful interaction with horses. Grounded in real horsemanship and safety, these programs support individuals and groups seeking learning, healing, or personal development. No riding experience is required—just a willingness to engage.
Horse/Ranch Services
We offer select horse and ranch services, including training and farrier work, grounded in over 30 years of hands-on experience. Our approach is practical, consistent, and focused on long-term horse health, usability, and care. Services are offered on a limited basis to ensure quality, attention, and trust.
